Shoeless summer: Every year during the summer, i spend more time than i would like in the emergency room. Treating people who have been going bare foot. About 60% of the time , I am taking them into surgery. Puncture wounds, foreign bodies, infections, etc... Please save yourself anguish, pain and misery.. Keep your shoes on, so that you can avoid seeing one of us, in the er.
