A member asked:

Which is more risky, smoking or radiation?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Both: You should neither smoke nor be exposed to unnecessary radiation. Radiation when used for appropriate imaging or treatments takes into account an assessment of the risks versus the benefits of the exposure. Smoking has no upside, just risks. Please don't smoke or try to quit, your health care provider can hopefully assist you if need be.
