A member asked:

Do muscle relaxers slow the healing process of sore muscles after weight lifting?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Amir Khan answered

Probably not: The muscle-relaxing effects of these medicines are most likely the result of their ability to depress the central nervous system. They are also called sedatives. In low back pain, muscle relaxants improve pain, muscle tension, and mobility. But side effects are common. Do not take these without proper directions from your physician as they are addictive.
