A member asked:

Do back-massagers actually do anything?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

May be: If massage makes a person feel better, improve their impression of health, it is useful even if it is not therapeutic for a given illness or diagnosis. Is it cost effecitve, would be for the person to decide. Some demential patients are helped by the skin-to-skin contact and may be calmer after a massage.
