Velocef is a first: Generation cephalosporin like keflin, keflex, a broad spectrum anti-biotic that has no role in treating candida. It is best managed with Monistat or nizoral (ketoconazole). Perhaps your obstrician read the report wrong, but go back and tell him/her it's the wrong drug. Candida is common; treatable; pregnant or non-pregnant.
