Headaches and Vasoco: Headaches occur because of the dilatation of the cerebral arteries. Precluding, dimishing or shortening the duration of this vasodilation will have a beneficial effect on the symptom.

Several ways: Classic vasoconstrictors have several mechanisms to help. The first is by quieting the release of neuroinflammatory chemicals released from the center causing headaches. The second is by interfering with the dopamine relationship between the headache driver and the vomiting center. The third and probably least important is by vasoconstriction.
