Very unlikely: The immune system clears almost all HPV infections within 1-2 years. After that, the infection is effectively cured and cannot be transmitted. HPV DNA can persist in tissues (it isn't known how often this actually happens), sometimes leading to reappearance of infection years later, e.g. with an abnomral pap smear in women. But usually not, and long delayed transmission to partners is very rare.
