Can i please! get explanation for increased sweat after quitting smoking that isnt "withdrawl"-ie. a chemical explanation-as if we're scientists here.

Withdrawal=chemical: When certain receptors that are used to tiny amounts of neurotransmitters occupying them get flooded with large amounts of similar chemicals (like nicotine flooding our acetylcholine receptors), those receptors "re-set." If the chemical is suddenly removed, those receptors as well as counter-regulatory receptors go wild and produce symptoms, depending on which receptor. Sweating is part of this.

How long?: when did you quit smoking? How long have you had the symptoms? Symptoms of withdrawal can persist for up to three months. If you are with in that period of time I would chalk it up to withdrawal. If not, You have hyperhydrosis. Many causes. Too many to go into here. Web MD has nice review. Hope this helps.
