A member asked:

Why does my 4yo get literally one cold right after another? does she have an immune deficiency? going on a month and a half. gets better for two days

Hard to say: Studies show the average kid experiences 5-7 respiratory and 2-3 diarrheal diseases / yr up to the age of 5. Some are less intense than others. They tend to cluster around the winter and spring.Significant immune deficiency leads to major bone and system infections by age 6 mo. Minor IgA deficiency can be hard to detect, but is not treated.
