Almost everyone: Almost everyone with HIV infection will eventually develop aids if they're not treated. The few exceptions are a small number of "long-term non-progressors" who are able to maintain normal t-cell counts and low viral loads without antiretroviral therapy. However, there's no longer any reason that someone with HIV infection should ever have to develop aids. Early treatment prevent aids and death.
