Depends on severity: Hemiplegic migraines can be complicated to diagnose and are best diagnosed and treated by a neurologist. They typically start with an aura that can include one-sided muscle weakness (or a kind of paralysis) and sometimes symptoms that can even mimic a seizure or stroke. Management depends on severity and this is best discussed with a neurologist. I advise referral soon!
