Veggies & Nuts: Patients with gallstones typically should stick to a high-fiber diet, possibly a vegetarian diet. Avoid foods high in saturated fat and trans-unsaturated fat (processed foods). Vitamin C is also very helpful. Nuts are also great. Weight control and avoidance of yo-yo dieting is also very important in reducing risk of gallstones. Good luck!
