After RT: Many radiotherapists utilize a sensitizing form of chemo to use with radiation. Esophagus gets platinum with RT. Colon gets 5FU (fluorouracil) with RT but when patient is to get adjuvant therapy which can last months it is given after the 6 or so wks of RT.

It varies with type: The type of Cancer(diagnosis) determines when to use radiotherapy. For some cancers it is better used simultaneously (called concurrent chemoradiotherapy). In others radiotherapy is used at the end of (completion 0f ) chemotherapy. Where is his primary tumor located???
