My toddler has fever 100.5 and hard stomach, didn't have bowel movement for 6 days. i have a cold, too, so it could be a cold he got from me.

Fever: You have 2 seperate entities here. The low grade fever can be something picked up from you or something else. The constipation has nothing to do with the fever and would explain the hard stomach. Not sure how old the child is to explain what can be done for the constipation.
