Treatment: You will need to see a doctor to establish a treatment plan that will help you breathe better. If breathing problems are due to asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease ( COPD) your doctor can prescribe medications that are taken daily to help your breathing. If you smoke, quitting will be a vital part of your treatment. If you are short of breath right now, go to the hospital ER.

ER-no quick fix: If you are asthmatic I would hope that you have mediciation like an inhalerr nebulizer at home. Severe shortness of breath can be life threatening. Jump into a hot steam shower after calling your physician: explain your situation and ask them to call in mediciation ; however, if it is severe there is no home cure. I am asthmatic myself: steam showers might help- but will nut cure. ER-now.
