Not normal: If not pain is significant and persistent, have the knees evaluated.

Depends: you workout may be fine. If you have not worked out in a while then the first week will make you very sore. Also depends on the exercise you are doing. If still sore after 2 weeks then may need to work with trainer to make sure form is correct.
