A member asked:

It's been exactly 6 weeks since my gallbladder surgery and i've noticed that i've been getting back pain where my gallbladder use to be. is it normal?

Not typically: By six weeks out from surgery you should be continuing to improve and not developing new symptoms. Back pain in this area could be due to a variety of reasons to include a retained gallstone in your common bile duct or a hematoma or bile collection in the area to gallBladder bed. Best to see your surgeon for evaluation.
