A member asked:

What is the difference between tobradex (tobramycin and dexamethasone) and tobrex?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

2 things: Tobradex (tobramycin and dexamethasone) is an antibiotic / steroid combination where as tobrex is an antibiotic only . The steroid makes tobradex (tobramycin and dexamethasone) much stronger since it treats inflammation as well, but carries a risk of glaucoma and cataracts.
