Yes: Treatig GBS with at least 3 doses of antibiotics before having the baby will help to reduce the risk of the baby contracting GBS infection.

Relax/so common: GBS is a common inhabitant of the poop and female genital tract. About 30% will be positive on screening at any point & it comes & goes, often without treatment. Oral antibiotics do not end your potential to carry it so those who screen positive are given IV antibiotics (higher dose) while in labor to protect baby.
