A member asked:

Are smokers with non allergic rhintis at higher risk of developing lungcancer? sinuses and lungs involve breathing.or are these completely unrelated?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No evidence that I: have found indicates that there is any greater risk of lung cancer in people with rhinitis. It is pretty much a dose response curve with the more cigarettes you smoke, the greater the chance of lung cancer. There are also resistance factors which are probably hereditary, but some may be acquired as well (such as exercise, exposure to other air pollution, second hand smoke, other toxins).
