I have a frequent burning / shooting chest pain to the left of my sternum. comes and goes. does not hurt when i press on the area. what could it be?

Chest pain: chest pain with no other symptoms could be nothing or could be serious. Do you have a risk factor for heart disease like high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, nicotine use or family history ? Do you lift heavy weights? Any history of anxiety? Any heartburn or trouble with spicy or acidic foods. You can try over the counter treatment with something like Prilosec OTC for a week. see a dr
