Maybe: If this is a pea-sized nodule on the outside, it may be a thrombosed hemorrhoid. These often respond to soaking in epsom salt baths, ice, and stool softener. There are other things this can be, such as an abscess. If it starts to feel worse or is not starting to get better in 24 hours, you should seek medical care. If you develop a fever or chills, you should seek medical care immediately.
