High blood pressure: Depending upon age, we typically won't treat high blood pressure unless it exceeds 140/90 in those younger than 60yo while we wait until greater than 150/90 for those older than 60yo. Years of high blood pressure increases risk for stroke, heart failure, kidney failure etc. However, one can also pass out immediately from low blood pressure. Discuss options w/your family doc.

BP: You should see a physician for work up and if necessary treatment. A one time blood pressure recording doesn't tell us a whole lot about you and that pressure reading as a one data point isn't enough to recommend a therapy.
