Need to examine: It is not feasible to know what you felt. Cervix has the consistency of the tip of your nose, not quite hard. What you described may be a cyst. It would be prudent to see your doctor for an evaluation. Cancer is unlikely.

Probably Cervix: Unless you have any vaginal bleeding associated with this "lump" I suspect that it is your cervix. If you are worried, get a examination done by your primary care/family doctor
