BV: Bacterial vaginosis can be very hard to eradicate since the main problem is the absence of peroxidase positive lactobacillus which keeps the vaginal pH somewhat acidic and prevents the growth of anaerobes which cause the odor. I find vaginal meds work best for my patients and us repHresh vaginally twice weekly for several months after treatment. Hope this helps.
