A member asked:

Would transcranial doppler be very helpful in detecting brain blood flow irregularities?would treatment be vasodilators if brainblood flow is reduced?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doppler for flow: Some may be able to comment on this better than I, but the transcranial doppler study is unable to measure all of the arteries, as some of them are very deep within the head. If vasconstriction was found, it would not necessarily lead to vasodilator medication. Perhaps it makes sense to return to what started the idea of blood flow irregularity.
