I manage high cholesterol with simvastatin rx. at what point should i do a heart stress test to gauge heart health ?

Symptoms?: Some experts suggest:If no known heart disease&no symptoms to suggest angina(eg exertional chest pain/trouble breathing),then a risk factor like high cholesterol isn't enough to get a stress test.Reasoning:A(+)test likely would be a false(+),leading to unneeded invasive procedures & maybe complications.In other words, risks of stress test > benefits.Note, though:No one single rule applies to all.
