A member asked:

Can you have bppv without having any nystagmus?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely, but: there may be no nystagmus between episodes, or nystagmus my be so subtle that it is hard to see. Frenzel goggles, especially of the type using a TV camera, are sometimes used as a diagnostic aid in order to magnify and illuminate nystagmus. - See more at: http://vestibular.org/understanding-vestibular-disorders/types-vestibular-disorders/benign-paroxysmal-positional-vertigo#sthash.R6HTXLWc.dpuf
