A member asked:

Is there a difference between overdosing and taking a little too much of your medicine?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Too much: An overdose is the ingestion of an amount which could cause unwanted symptoms and occasional damage or death. Most medications have a large range of risk and a little too much is usually not harmful. If you are not sure, call your doctor or poison control center.
