Pregnancy test: when: Since periods last about five to seven days, having sex "a week and a half" later is not likely to cause pregnancy. but it is possible. Obtain a serum HCG test in another fourteen days if her period has not occurred. This test is very accurate even in very early pregnancy. If ovulation occurred when you had unprotected sex. it takes at least 7-10 days for pregnancy hormone to be produced.

Depends: a pregnancy test would be positive by the time the period is due. So when she should start her period is a good time to check a pregnancy test.
