See provider: Please see your health provider to assess what change in your medication would be helpful and to assess for any other metabolic medical conditions needing treatment.

Positive Attitude: Positive Thinking Helps. Glad at least Vit B12 seem to help you. There are many Anti depressants. If SSRIs do not help and if you have lack of energy then SNRI like Effxor, Welbutrin or Prestiq may help you. Also Positive Bio feed back and Relaxation technique helps. Group / Social Activity like Exercise, Yoga class may help with lack of Energy to do any thing Alone. Do not stay alone.

If it works: If B12 works stick with it. But consider other antidepressants as well. If you have good advice from your docs to try other meds go for it otherwise stick with what works for you.

Consider many things: Medication for major depression often takes 3 or 4 weeks to take effect and sometimes the dosage has to be adjusted or an alternate medication has to be tried. It is always important to have a complete physical examination and blood test to be sure that there is not a physical cause of your symptoms . Also sometimes therapy is very helpful in addition to medication for this condition.

Therapy?: Have you yet tried any form of psychotherapy? Typically, the optimal combination of things to treat emotional issues such as depression is medication (which, on your best day, is supposed to take the edge off symptoms) but the real gruntwork takes place in psychotherapist's consulting room.

There are many: meds to try before giving up, and some that enhance the ones you are already on. What happened in 2013? Have you tried therapy to deal with the sequela? If you are unresolved, you may find yourself "shutting down," which is just what starts anxiety and depression. Get an opinion from a psychotherapist, not just from someone who prescribes.
