A member asked:

What do inconclusive pregnancy tests mean? period is 8-9 weeks late, pharmacist said too late to test at home now, is this right?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Can do a urine test: In general, the urine pregnancy test shows a POSITIVE line if there is enough HCG in the urine (which usually is the case 2 or more weeks after conception). That means it is not "too late" to do the test. An "inconclusive" test result means a person cannot be sure if the test worked properly, was negative, or was positive. One can just repeat an "inconclusive" pregnancy test, such as a week later.
