Probably: The hormone substance called relaxin softens the normally rigid connections of the many bones comprising the apparently-solid pelvis and this can cause significant discomfort. This can make the difference in a successful vaginal delivery instead of a c-section. Check with your doctor and if you get reassurance, try to accept these changes as part of a normal process.
