Might well be: You don't say what your gastrointestinal issues are, but candida or other intertrigo is a strong possibility. Are you on antibiotics? In any case, dryness is the key to recovery. After bathing or showering, dry the area as well as you can. You might consider a hair dryer to help (set on cold, don't burn yourself) and then use baby powder or nystatin powder. The key to success is dryness!

May be over-rated: No test result can be evaluated out of the context in which it was ordered. What kind of symptoms prompted the study? What are your underlying medical conditions (that may predispose you to intestinal yeast)? If you are in the midst of a GI evaluation, have they ruled out inflammation, other infections, ischemic pathology, as well as motility disorders? Pls don't give up & resort to pseudo-science
