A member asked:

I have a itchy red rash on my groin, its can be dry at some times and crack. it is accompanied by thick white discharge, is this signs of a yeast infection?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hard to guess: Itchy rashes can be from many causes, such as: allergic reactions to various things (such as parts of sports equipment), hives, fungal skin infections, viral or bacterial infections, medication causes, heat rashes, reactions to creams or lotions, internal problems (such as kidney disease, auto-immune disease), etc... That means a rash that persists or is worrisome should be checked by a doctor.
