Antacid and antigas: Mylanta contains three active ingredients: aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, and simethicone. Aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide are antacids that reduce the acidity of the stomach by counteracting or neutralizing the stomach acid. Simethicone is an anti-gas drug that causes gas bubbles to pass more easily by breaking the bubbles up.
