Xanax (alprazolam): has a half life of 12 hours. So 75% is gone in 1 day. Whether a drug test detects it depends on how sensitive the drug test is. As a rule of thumb it take 5.5 times the half life to completely eliminate a drug so 5.5 times 12 hours is about 3 days. To be safe give it a week.
