Oratane: I have looked up several comments on the web and found nothing that links oratane to thyroid disorders. That said, I hope your doctor is giving you enough thyroid hormone replacement to overcome hypothyroidism.

Unlikely: Although Oratane has many listed side effects, I could not find any link between this med and thyroid disease. In your age group, autoimmune thyroiditis (Hashimotos) is the most likely cause for developing hypothyroidism
