Keep "guessing": Ovulation can occur at any time in the menstrual cycle but is more common 14 days before the onset of the next menstrual period. Sometimes there is increased "stretchiness" to the cervical mucous. Avoiding pregnancy is very dicey as semen with sperm escape prior to ejaculation or "pullout" and the wrong "guess" results in a certain undesired pregnancy.
