Little evidence: I'm not a big fan of mesotherapy, and am not aware of any significant well done study, published in a peer-reviewed journal, that documents its safety and effectiveness. I don't recommend it to my patients. There are reports of complications. Unproven: Mesotherapy is not fda approved. There is no standardization of the formulas used. No one can predict the results or the side effects. The stuff doesn't melt fat - it kills it, leaving lumpy scar deposits that are hard to correct. Not recommended, no matter how cheap it might be.
