Does mepergan make one sleepy?

Yes: Mepergan is a combination of phenergan(an antihistamine) and Meperidine (demorol). Either one can make you sleepy. Demerol (meperidine hydrochloride) should not be used for chronic pain on a regular basis because of the accumulation of harmful metabolites (products of breakdown in the body).
