GERD pain: Many medication can cause stomach pain--reflux and gastritis---which can cause shoulder pain as a referred pain macrolides ie z-pak and the NSAIDs ie naproxsyn,toradol can increase the risk of stomach irritation even when taken with food---talk with the doctor that gave you the prescription The older you are and the more medications you are taken . The more likely you will have symptoms
