Treat Causes: These symptoms can come from muscle spasm at the back of the head. Frequently this causes irritation of the Occipital Nerves which can cause these type of symptoms. Treatment of these spasms can give relief so relaxation therapies, local modalities such as heat or cold can help. A small cortisone injection (Greater Occipital Nerve Injection) can also be helpful. See a headache specialist.
