No fast way: to lose weight. A low carbohydrate, high protein diet will help you lose weight the most rapidly but expect 0.5-1 kg per week at most. Exercise is important too. Good luck. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!

Take your time: To lose weight insure that calories burned > calories consumed. Drink at least 8 - 8 oz glasses of water per day. Try for 8 hours of sleep/night. Aim for at least 5 servings of vegetables & 4 servings of fruit per day. Use whole grain when possible. Avoid sodas, alcohol & junk carbohydrates. Get in a good mix of aerobic & weight lifting exercises.

Diet: Unfortunately for most of us weight gain or loss is simple math. If we take in more calories than we use we gain weight, and to lose weight we have to take in less or use more. If you are very overweight your metabolism slows down even more so it is harder to lose. Get your thyroid checked just to make sure it isn't a cause.
