Check cortisol: Hi. Big (wide) red stretch marks make us think of Cushing's syndrome, a collection of diseases which culminate in over production of cortisol. Ask your doctor to look at your stretch marks and see if a 24-hour urine cortisol or a dexamethasone suppression test should be considered. Any high blood pressure, high blood sugar, fractures? Cortisol excess can also cause those things. Good luck!
