No: These are muscle relaxants and you shouldn't take them unless they are prescribed for you for a specific condition.

Drowziness,etc..: The main side effects are drowsiness, dizziness, and dry mouth. Drowsiness and dry mouth seem to intensify with higher doses. Other side effects include blurred vision, fatigue, nausea, and headache. Agitation is common, especially in the elderly, and this drug is not recommended for elderly patients due to the possibility for severe side effects, like rhabdomyolysis (muscle breakdown).
A member asked:

Is it safe to take more than 40 mg (4 pills) of cyclobenzaprine?

It is better avoided: The maximum recommended dose is 30 mg a day, so it is better to avoid taking more than 40 mg since a high dose can cause a variety of side effects, such as drowsiness and rapid heart beat (tachycardia).

Should be safe: I assume you mean pyrigesic or Acetaminophen (tylenol). This is a non-narcotic pain killer, and it should have no difficulty being combined with the muscle relaxant cyclobenzaprine (flexeril). Just stay under 4000mg, and ideally 3000mg, of pyrigesic per day for the health of your liver.

Not enough info: There really is not enough information to answer your question. Cyclobenzaprine is classified as a muscle relaxant although it probably works through mild sedation which helps with the relaxation. I am not sure why you are being prescribed this medication so i cannot really tell you why it is not helping you.
