I passed a 3mm kidney stone last night but getting waves of severe pain in the same kidney for the last 90 min. am i passing more stones?

Could be: If the pain has persisted for two hours, you may wish to visit an emergency department for pain relief. Your guess about passing more stone is as good any as the cause of pain. I would recommend a visit to ER.
