A member asked:

When a bartholin's cyst bursts, is there blood? what should follow-up care be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sometimes: usually some blood followed by a jelly like mucus if its a cyst and more pus like material if its an abscess. It doesn't usually bleed enough to be an emergency, but I would suggest you make an appointment to see your gynecologist or if no GYN you've seen have your family doctor refer you to one
