Largely, most advice against sex & masturbation during pregnancy is anecdotal. So, avoid it during the1st or 3rd trimester in those of high-risk history; not for the others.

No absolutes: Is it safe? Only if you don't crash, or have too long a ride on rough water, etc. Physical activity is ok while you're pregnant, but use common sense, and don't take unnecessary risks. While nothing is risk free, nothing is guaranteed to be safe either. Feel free to discuss with your OB as well. Hope this helps!
