Dizzy: What is that "inner ear dizzy feeling"? I'm an ENT and I've never heard of anyone describing their symptom as such unless they have a history of previously diagnosed vestibular pathology. If that is the case and for some reason, you have found a link between your vestibular veritgo and sugar, I would suggest you stop eating "lots of sugar" and be checked for diabetes or hyperglycemia.

Possible sugar issue: If you think you may have symptoms related to sugar you should get your blood checked first and for most. Then you can get a glucose tolerance test if the glucose level is a little elevated. My guess is that you have bppv. Please read se of my answers related to bppv. Good luck. Feel better.

Glucose intolerance: Best to limit your sugar intake which is healthiest anyway and then ask your doctor to check you for glucose intolerance and diabetes as soon as you can. Eat whole fruits and vegetables and whole grains without added sugar. Have a wonderful rest of the holidays with a healthy New Year.

Dizziness: That is a difficult problem to assess with limited information about you and your health. Dizziness can involve infectious causes, metabolic( eg thyroid disorders, diabetes) causes, neurologic sources, visual disturbances, cardiovascular causes, and inner ear problems to name a few sources.
